Valencian Hosptality

Valencia is the capital city of the area of Costa Blanca region. It is a fascinating place to visit, mixing the old and new in terms of architecture. There are wonderful  Botanical Gardens which can be counted as the largest and most attractive in Europe or The Gulliver Park adventure area for children. It is surrounded by a mini golf course. There are various museums and a palace built in the 14th century. While in Spain you must enjoy their delicious Paella . Where ever you go, you will find this rice dish on offer, mostly with large prawns, but sometimes with meat. Not only does Valencia have great history and architecture it also has a port and many wonderful sandy beaches. The spanish people love their fiestas and Valencia is no exception. The fiestas are at various times of the year. Usually, if they are to be started at a certain time, expect to wait another hour, before the fiesta commences. Have a coffee con leche to pass the time, you will hear them first, the band always excels itself. There is plenty of scope for golfers in Valencia. Club de Golf El Saler looks excellent. Always check the Golf Clubs out prior to visiting. Prices, quality and convenience vary. When visiting Valencia we stayed very central. We were very pleased with our accommodation. It wasn't palatial, but included an excellent breakfast plus fruit. It gave us the choice to eat out which we love to do, to sample the local tapas and gastronomy. It also means that we could walk to most places of interest. There are wonderful plazas everywhere. Shops, bars and restaurants of every variety round every corner. As you can see from the pics there are wonderful buildings everywhere, both old and very modern. If you have a Sat Nav the Places of Interest section will give you info and directions.
