Fiestas throughout Spain are in all
villages, towns and cities. They are
very colourful and entertaining. They
represent various religious and historic
events. I always go to them if they are
on in the area that I am visiting. They
are mostly in the evening and
usually start with a loud band starting
much later than advertised. There are
sites that you can check to see when
they are on in the area you are
interested in visiting. However I have
found that the tourist offices are a
great source of info for fiestas in all
the near towns and also what is going on
the area. I would recommend a visit.
They all speak excellent English and
other languages. You can pick up free
maps, bus and train timetables and much
more. |
